We have launched a series of opportunities for dialogue and engagement to enrich the university experience at UniSR. The program offers a range of events where faculty members, guest speakers and students share their perspectives on specific topics and lead interactive workshops. These initiatives are developed within institutional projects or co-created with the active contribution of students.

Studying, growing and cultivating passions are at the core of this program. Well-being is central: the university experience is at its best when mind and body are in balance.

These initiatives are also part of Health Mode ON, the PROBEN project dedicated to student well-being: events and workshops designed to foster awareness and help students experience university life with greater balance.

Because making the most of UniSR is more than a personal goal—it’s something we build together.

It is an invitation to connect with thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations, observing them with openness and clarity without feeling overwhelmed by them — transforming every moment, from the slow rhythm of a coffee break to the mindful pace of a walk, and even the pause before a response, into a space for listening, balance, and presence.

Mindful Eating

Discover the value of mindful eating, an approach that transforms the way we relate to food, going beyond simple nourishment to explore our relationship with ourselves, our emotions, and the environment in which we live.

Eating becomes a space for awareness, where automatic habits, bodily signals, and emotional experiences that shape our daily choices can be recognized, opening the way to a more authentic connection with oneself.

The session dedicated to mindful eating offers the opportunity to develop a new awareness of the subjective dimension of the eating experience: from listening to signals of hunger and fullness, to regulating the pace of meals, and learning to suspend judgment. It is a journey that encourages participants to connect with their bodies, recognize the emotions that influence eating behaviors, and transform nourishment into an act of balance, care, and presence — essential for personal wellbeing and for those preparing to care for others.

Yoga

Discover how yoga and meditation can become practical tools for wellbeing, not only during practice on the mat, but also in everyday life. An approach that combines FORMAL practice — dedicated to exercises and meditation — with INFORMAL practice, meaning the ability to bring awareness, attitudes, and techniques into daily experiences.

A recent study published in the Journal of Health Psychology highlights how dedicating time to formal practice is associated with lower levels of stress and depressive symptoms, especially when what is learned is also integrated “off the mat” into everyday life.

This session offers the opportunity to explore the connection between yoga, stress, and psychological wellbeing, discovering how practice can foster balance, self-awareness, and presence in daily life.
